Aldous Huxley's Foreword

Huxley believe that sanity is only attainable through humanity. If a society repeats the same things over and over again holding for "perfection", that can be dubbed insane. This carries over to social order in that the characters in Huxley's Brave New World can be said to be insane because they are trying to attain a perfect society by breaking down groups of people and repeating the same process each day.

The "third option" is that people are able to be themselves and do as they please while at the same time creating a "perfect" society (highly unlikely in Huxley's eyes)

Huxley refers to Churchill's iron curtain to reiterate the dictator-like society that is the brave new world.
