Hamlet Act IV

-Claudius wants to get rid of Hamlet because he fears he will eventually expose him
--Hamlet is outraged at Rosencrantz and Guildenstern; approaches them as a true king for the first time

-Polonius is with King Hamlet but Claudius is not (in reference to body line)
-It's not the actions of a person that are judged, it's whether or not people like them
-Hamlet is throwing the gauntlet down as far as Claudius is concerned
-He reminds Claudius that no player is bigger than the game
-Claudius is arranging for Hamlet to be killed by agents in England
-Hamlet assumes Claudius knows what's going on, so he doesn't have a lot to lose when it comes to hiding things
-

-Laertes says he's willing to do the worst thig possible for the sake of his father
-Claudius arranges to set up a swordfight, a duel
-The sword will be real and not foil, and it will be dipped in poison so as to kill Hamlet without it being "planned"
-They plan to poison his drink as well just in case
-Ophelia drowns herself over the situation; Laertes is upset but doesn't cry for her
-The clowns speak of Ophelia's death debating whether it was suicide or not
-"Custom hath made it in him a property of easiness"= done it so much he's been desensitized
-Hamlet accuses a clown of lying while he digs a grave (about whose grave it is)
-Hamlet is found to be 30
-"Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio: a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy
-Death can be reduced to the cycle of life
-Laertes tells the priest he'll go to hell while Ophelia goes to heaven
-Laertes, overcome with grief, leaps into the grave while Hamlet watches unknowned to the others
-Hamlet is grieving out loud now over Ophelia in front of all
-"The dog will have his day"-Hamlet
Scene II
-Hamlet recaps what happens; he was on a boat and found Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
-He found Clausius' orders to have him murdered
-He is forming a new commission;
